Study of Road Surface Damage due to Rainwater Puddles using the Pavement Condition Index

Damage to the road surface will cause many losses that users can feel directly. One of factors influence damage is waterlogging. In Mataram City, several roads experience inundation and water runoff when it rains, such as Jalan Swasembada Kekalik Kesra Raya Perumnas. The impact on construction a change in shape layer, which causes service performance decline. So, needs be analyzed determine pavement structure segments, both flooded not. method used carry out analysis (Pavement Condition Index) PCI. Surveying conditions field collected data. PCI value obtained after calculating parameters, namely: density, deduct (DV), total (TDV), corrected (CDV). results showed types average values were: subsidence (6.22%), edge cracks (3.22%), vertical downhill edges (8.22%), patches (4.25 %), holes (1%), grain release (27.33%). Pavement Index (PCI) for each segment 36.33%, at lousy level (Poor). comparison, Perumnas, 82.5%, reasonable (Good) evidence inundated section has worse condition than unflooded seen section, where area poor condition. contrast, team very good perfect For Perumnas although areas, are less those not flooded, overall, By looking lane, necessary deal segments immediately have decent serving traffic.
